I’m a Goddess to Be Devoured by the Protagonist

Dropped it at 72. Mostly just got bored waiting for it to be over.

This is primarily a romance story. The MC is a girl who transmigrated into a god’s body. Infinite divine power, exaggerated beauty, subdued facial expressions, the works. The make lead is ‘emotionally comprised champion’ type. He could handle all the battles on his own, but the MC has to take great care to ensure no one around him dies and that he doesn’t get lonely. He then becomes obsessed with the first person to give him real care.

Now for the rest:

Combat is trivial. There are plenty dungeons, but the combat itself is quickly glossed over since the point is the romance.

Side characters are trivial. The characters exist and were given backstories, but 80% of their presence is dictated by how they can help the relationship between the MC and the ML and 15% is what items they can hand over.

Setting and plot are neat, but it felt like they got sidelined for the relationship. If the ML and MC are ready to progress emotionally, then the plot shoots forward. If they’re not emotionally there yet, then the author adds side quests. It’s like an adventure dating sim where the main quest is a bunch of cutscenes that play based on relationship progress.

Should you read it? Depends on how into the romance you are. If you really ship the MC and ML, then the story will probably be great. If you were hoping the romance would be a sub plot, then you’ll probably get bored.
