I LOVE this novel, especially the parts where we get to read minte’s point of view on normal human emotions and reactions. There’s something I find so interesting and oddly exhilarating about reading and seeing from the perspective of someone who has a completely different view on morals and life, someone so disconnected from reality yet submerged in its most realistic animalistic form.
The whole prison arc was so beautifully written I had to stop several times to think about her perspective and the life she has lived to make the decisions she makes today. Though the translations were somewhat botched in several places it honestly didn’t take from how gripping the story is. Honestly a manhwa wouldn’t do the psycological intricacies of this novel justice and would feel likea pale imitation once you’ve actually read this.
It’s fun to compare the psychology of all those around her too who range from crazed criminals to mostly righteous (but somehow still morally ambiguous) individuals.
