Trapped inside a terrifying horror game, a man finds himself forced into the role of a general manager for a haunted hotel. He isn’t a monster or a villain, just a regular guy trying to survive his new reality as an NPC. As the game’s nightmares begin to bleed into the real world, he must maintain professional service while navigating deadly anomalies. Welcome to the hotel where checkout is never guaranteed.

The first arc ends on chapter 34. That is also where I dropped the story.

The MC is bound by game mechanics to speak invitingly, thinks of himself as subhuman, and is obsessed with ensuring the actual humans are safe. When that combines, you get a frustrating mess of him fucking himself over to stop suicidal toddlers from dying while trying to get selfies with serial killers. As much as I liked the first five chapters before any human side characters were introduced, I wound up thoroughly regretting giving this story a try.
