Read novel A Runaway Villainess, Now Healing In An Enemy Country / 도망 악녀인데 적국에서 힐링 중이다
After being betrayed by a cheating crown prince and striking back, she awakens as the villainess of a romance novel—fated for execution. To survive, she flees to a so-called “demon nation,” only to find a barren land ruled by eccentric, inhuman figures. Determined to live, she rebuilds the territory with magic, drifting further from the original plot. But as its powerful ruler and others begin to care for her in unexpected ways, survival turns into something far more complicated than she ever planned.

For clarity:
I read the title and expected an underpaid villainess to go to a vacation home. This isn’t that. This is a trauma victim working through her trauma by healing the cursed Northern Duke and receiving kindness in response.
–
The MC is a reincarnator. She has kindness, diligence and magic talent, but no mana. She thus chronically works herself into collapsing by over using what little mana she has. She also gets betrayed by everyone she loves, so she has trust issues when people thank her. Not too charismatic by my standards, but solid.
–
The male lead is your typical Northern Duke who spends most of his time numb but has affection for the MC. He’s accompanied by the typical elite cronies who appreciate the MC bringing warmth into the household. Uninspiring, but fills the positions.
–
The main plot is the standard ‘I was ready to ignore everything, but the hidden true boss is dead set on killing us’. I can’t say it was enrapturing. I regularly found myself hoping the author would move the plot along faster because their scenes weren’t holding my attention (they’d try to add drama or suspense through injuries, miscommunication, and [spoiler], but it would feel like worthless filler to me).
–
Overall, it’s a 7/10. Nothing to write home about, but a solid choice if you’re bored.
